Maggie Career Institute
Maggie Career Institute, Inc. welcomes you to our Wilmington campus. Our main objective is to prepare students to become healthcare professionals: Certified Nursing Assistants, Phlebotomy Technicians, Home Health Aides, Patient Care Technicians, and Medical Assistants.
Training Programs
Choose from five healthcare training pathways designed to build practical knowledge and hands-on skills.
Home Health Aides provide routine individualized care to patients in the comfort of their homes, specifically assisting clients with their activities of daily living.
A five-week program combining theory and hands-on clinical experience. The course prepares students to become certified in providing nursing care in a variety of settings. The role of the certified nursing assistant, ethical behaviors, and promotion of residents’ rights are taught.
Phlebotomy Technicians are trained professionals who collect blood and other samples for medical testing purposes. Maggie Career Institute will teach you to draw blood samples and collect other specimen samples.
A ten-week course that prepares a student to become a certified patient care technician. At the end of the course, the student will acquire skills and knowledge of Home Health Aide, Phlebotomy, and EKG, as well as computer skills.
A 20-week program that prepares students to become efficient in medical assistant duties. Students are taught scheduling, telephone technique, billing and coding, electronic medical records, taking vital signs, assisting the physician during physical examinations, blood and other specimen collection, basic laboratory procedures, EKG, medication administration, sterilization of surgical instruments, and assisting the physician in minor surgical procedures.
